Accuracy of Astrology

There are two parts of vedic astrology:

Ganit - It is pure mathematics. A chart is drawn and many other useful values are calculated with date, time and place of birth. This is mathematics so there is no chance of being Not accurate.

Phalit - The values figured out from above calculation are used to predict. They are like pathology report. Doctors diagnosis about the possible disease by analysing symptoms with the pathology report. The correct diagnosis depends on doctor's skills, experience etc. Similarly by using the chart and other mathematically calculated values an astrologer tries to predict. The correct predictions depends on multiple factors:

  • Astrologer's expertise level on subject
  • Astrologer's intitutive abilities
  • Correctness of date, time and place of birth
  • Awareness of desh, kaal, patra

So accuracy of astrology depends on multiple factors. Its a completely different subject and should be understood with open mind. One should never assume astrologers to be omniscient.
