Classical work of astrology has been written in Sanskrit. That was the language of learned those days. As India was invaded and ruled by Mughals etc, language of scholars became urdu because of royal support. Still we have so many urdu words frequently used in judiciary and other fields. Later, during British rule, english gradually got grip and became the language of scholars.
Now a days, most of the good books you can find in english. That doesn't mean all of them written outside India.
Lal Kitab is our very own and follows same principals of astrology, which are written in classics. The only thing is due to poverty and greedy nature of priests during those times, people might have lost trust in expensive remedial measures. So writer has given very simple and easy to do remedies.
Astrology is attached with day to day life so closely that it has to be understood with open mind. A lot changes by changing Desh, Kaal, Patra.
